    Leg Swings

    Goal of the Drill

Dynamically increase hip range of motion; speed up blood flow to the hamstrings and hip flexors to prepare for jumping and attacking movements.

    Explanation of the Drill

The player balances on one leg, holding on to something lightly if needed. The other leg swings forward and backward under control. The range increases gradually as the body warms up. Keep the torso upright, initiate the swing from the hip joint and avoid excessive movement in the lower back.

The aim is to prepare the hip and hamstring dynamically without forcing the leg. The movement should be smooth and controlled; avoid hard or jerky swings. Switch sides when the time is up.
