Child's Pose
StretchBeginnerFlexibility 0:45

Goal of the Drill
Release tension in the lower back, hips and shoulders; calm the nervous system after training for general relaxation and recovery.
Explanation of the Drill
Starting on the knees, the player lowers the hips toward the heels and reaches the arms forward, bringing the upper body toward the floor. The forehead rests on the floor or on a support. Try to keep the hips near the heels and the chest near the knees; the shoulders relax and the arms extend comfortably forward, palms down.
Breathe slowly and deeply throughout, letting the body sink a little closer to the floor with each exhale. Do not hold tension in the neck and shoulders — the position should stay completely passive and comfortable.
